| In an effort to enhance SCDPPPS' commitment to provide comprehensive services to crime victims, several of the Department's 46 county offices have a Victim Services Coordinator. The VSC is the contact person for victims if they have questions about their case. All of the VSCs have prior experience as an agent and are knowledgeable of the criminal justice system in general.
The Coordinators provide notification to victims when appropriate, and are trained to make referrals when necessary. If the victim wishes to attend a violation hearing, the VSC will accompany the victim and explain the hearing process to them.
