Walk A Mile In Their Shoes

Walk A Mile In Their Shoes is full of fun, excitement, and maybe some sore feet. Walkers are encouraged to wear the opposite gender's shoes, but of course not required.  

Walk A Mile begins at the South Carolina State House Grounds, on the main lawn facing Gervais Street and Main Street. When you arrive at the State House, you will see the registration table. If you did not collect your t-shirt at the t-shirt pick up dates, you can pick it up there.

Day of Walk A Mile Timeline

5:00 p.m. - Pre-walk activities, registration, and t-shirt pick up

6:15 p.m. - Opening ceremonies

6:30 p.m. - Walk starts with Grand Marshals leading

6:50 p.m. - Closing ceremonies with announcements of Walk A Mile award winners

This is a family-friendly event, and it will take place rain or shine. Our goal is to have outpouring of community support to bring awareness to sexual assault and end sexual violence in our community. Men, women, children, and leashed four-legged friends of all ages are invited to participate.
