| SCDPPPS offers many exciting opportunities for students to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional setting. At this agency, you can give back to your community while enhancing your professional development. The SCDPPPS Volunteer Intern Services Program can give you the opportunity to do both. Participating in the Volunteer Intern Program gives students insight into future agency job opportunities while increasing their preparedness, prior to graduation, for the criminal justice, human resources, finance, IT and/or communications job market overall. We invite you to learn more about our program- and how interns can work with a state agency to better serve and protect the citizens of South Carolina. |

Program Responsibilities
- Provide support to Probation and Parole Law Enforcement Officers
- Provide support to Field Offices Support staff
- Assist with offender office interviews
- Attend court and administrative hearings, and assist with the
- preparation of cases for court
- Assist with conducting case reviews and various investigations
- Prepare victim notifications
- Data entry
The above duties may vary according to your placement in a specific location.
Program Requirements
- Must be 17 years of age
- Must provide three non-family references
- Must pass criminal background check
