Contact Victim Services

Glossary of Terms

Evidence of the Department’s commitment to providing comprehensive services to crime victims, the Department employs Victim Advocates throughout the state. Victim Advocates are available to provide information and assistance to victims of offenders under the Department’s supervision, and they are the primary contact person for victims if they have questions about their cases. Victim Advocates provide notification to victims and are trained to make referrals as needed. If the victim wishes to attend a violation hearing, a Victim Advocate will accompany the victim and explain the hearing process to them.
