Excellence in Supervision - Agent Robin Hennessey

Agent Robin Hennessey

In July 2024, Tommy was placed on probation for his first offense of distributing methamphetamine. Agent Hennessey took over his case in October 2024 and quickly discovered that Tommy, a veteran, was homeless and struggling with addiction. Without family or friends in the area, Tommy faced significant challenges, including a lack of transportation to the treatment center for his addiction. In January 2025, Tommy was arrested for shoplifting and trafficking fentanyl. Agent Hennessey advised him that his best chance for rehabilitation and recovery was to enroll in a long-term drug treatment program. Recognizing this as his best opportunity to change his life, Tommy agreed. Agent Hennessey worked diligently to secure a spot for Tommy in a recovery program, and within a month, Tommy was admitted.

Tommy thrived in the program. During his time there, Agent Hennessey received a letter stating that Tommy was serving as a United Way Community Champion, recognized for his positive influence in the community. Tommy was featured on the United Way Facebook page as a veteran who had overcome significant challenges and was on a powerful path to recovery. He was highlighted as a dedicated, compassionate leader who continuously brings hope and light to others. In June, Tommy graduated from the recovery program and now has his own apartment. Agent Hennessey is extremely proud of Tommy and his unwavering dedication to his recovery.
